With winter on it's way our hallways will soon become the place again where all shoes, hats, thick coats and other stuff will end up first. So time to think about how to organize and maybe get some new ideas for your hallway.

The reason why I am showing the picture above are the knobs on the wall! Some years ago, when redecorating my own hall, I found out that the best way to organize is to just think of what 'irritates' you most and find the logical solution for it.

So if bags are laying on the floor.. Just simply add some knobs and hang them on the wall. Don't you like your shoes laying around, find a solution to store them away. Sounds easy but believe me it works! Here are some more organizing examples that I found that might be useful to you when redecorating or organizing.

There is a month left until Thanksgiving and I have several projects in my own home I want to finish before I turn my attention to decorating my house for Christmas which I adore.

To  Do List -
Finish the laundry room for the One Room Challenge - the reveal is in a week!
Wallpaper the downstairs hallway - I have scheduled my wallpaper hanger for next week.
Refresh the entryway - waiting on my painter.

I have added one more thing to my list - a new rug for the living room. I am tired of my oriental rug and have decided I really want an offset black and white striped rug. I love combining stripes and Chinoiserie and my go to choice is often striped silk taffeta curtains. I really think this black and white striped rug in my living room will be a great fit. The colors in my living room are pastels - pink, ice blue, yellow, and celadon, and the graphic punch of this rug will add real drama.

I am debating between these two rugs -

The Ikea Stockholm Rand Rug is a 100% wool flatweave carpet in black and white offset stripes and is $399 in the 8x11.


A no-brainer - Ikea here I come!

Love Love Love !!! I instantly fell in love when I saw this candle-holder at mia's blog the Superordinary. I have a small collection of Black Iron cast candle holders. After I cleared out most of the candlesticks that over the years cluttered up at my home, I decided to only keep the black metal ones as they are my favorite .... And now I have a new love, I think it even looks amazing without candles! How do you like it?

Like many other bloggers I attended the Woonbeurs last week! I walked around a bit, chatted with other bloggers and friends and tried to make some pictures of my favorites at the same time. I loved the styling with the black & white pictures in the stand of Groovy Magnets 

I wrote about this magnetic wallpaper before here |Blackboard wall and moodboard in one| and loved to see and feel it in real life. The wallpaper comes as chalkboard wallpaper or in any other color. But also with beautiful animal prints. A few magnets are included and ther is also a magnetic alphabet. How do you like it! 

Hej ! I am just back from Copenhagen Design Trade fair. Where we worked for 3 days in our Blogger zone and around the fair. I planned to wander a bit through Copenhagen on Monday but it didn't really worked out as Anna and me just enjoyed chatting, sitting in the sun and having lunch and coffees to much. 



The next day we headed of to the Bella centre to set up the blogger zone. We had all chosen products from several brands who were at the fair to show in our own stands. As our tastes are very much alkike, Emma, Anna and myself were collaborating together on setting up a small 'mini house' using the three stands in the back of the hall. We decided on having a family table as the centerpiece for dining and working and a small lounge area and small working space on the sides....


I worked on the office space and choose some simple white metal shelves decorated with perspex boxes for the office supplies | all by Nomess| with some copper and natural elements.

Under the shelves storage boxes from Rie Elise Larsen and a bar stool and rug |Broste Copenhagen| I also used several other small items around the Hay stuff box on the working part off the table of which the small black TineK bag is my personal favorite. I will make another post later this week to tell some more about the brands and the products I used.
