Color trend {Shades of gray with a touch of gold}

This week I made a Color trend for Dutch site Kleurinspiratie. THE Dutch site for Color inspiration! I stayed close to myself with different shades of grey and industrial black. And added a touch of Glamour with gold but you could easily use some beautiful copper as well.

You can see the complete color trend here and there is a little interview with me here. Once you are on the site you can make your own color Pinbord starting with one of the colors I used. Just simply click on one of the 'kleuren van Flexa' (the colors of Flexa) and start pinning.

Met mijn gekozen kleuren, een vleugje goud en de trendkleur voor 2013! kun je zelf ook aan de slag op de site. Klik hiervoor op de kleurblokjes onder de 'kleuren van Flexa' en maak jouw eigen online prikbord.

We previously had some lovely giveaways with Wonen met LEF, a webshop with tough, contemporary home accessories. Ferm LIVING is one of the brands you can find in their collection. This Danish company aims at designing and manufacturing interior products with a graphic touch. For today's giveaway Wonen met Lef choose to give away one of their large! (80x50 centimeters) cushions. A soft cushion with contemporary colors and a minimalistic print on both sites.

We haden al eerder een paar mooie giveaways in samenwerking met Wonen met LEF, een webwinkel vol stoere, moderne woonaccessoires en meubels. Ferm LIVING is een van de merken in de collectie, dit Deense bedrijf is vooral bekend door haar interieur producten met een grafische touch.

Voor de giveaway van vandaag heeft Wonen met Lef een van haar grote donzen sierkussens uitgekozen. Met een maat van maar liefst 80x50 centimeter is het lekker neerploffen op je bank. Blackboard walls and pictures

This post was supposed to be about black walls. But while surfing to Netta's blog Likainen Parketti to look for some of her blackboard pictures I found this huge collage.... and a little goodbye post. So this became a little post in honor of another blogger who after more then 2 years decided to call it a day... Thanks Netta for the 961 other days ;)

Dutch design week - unplugged part two

We are still at Dutch Design week at the Piet Hein Eek complex in Studio 22, with designers such as Rene siebum, Steven Banken, Guus Alders and Sander Kunst. (See the previous DDW post here: Dutch design week - unplugged with Piet Hein Eek)

And again we took one of the Mini's and off to the Strijp area where we had a break first with some food and white wine outside at 'Het Ketelhuis'.... had a look at the Hand out exhibition and made a walk around Strijp area .... One day never seems enough to see all of DDW and we ended the day at grand cafe USINE a very nice restaurant within walking distance from the train station and the perfect place to end the day.

Dutch Design week 2012 - Unplugged with Piet Hein Eek

How to sort out 150 pictures from just a few hours of Dutch Design Week 2012 in Eindhoven? It's almost impossible to show them all, so I made a selection of what we saw yesterday. The Dutch Design Academy was our first stop, but seeing the long cue we decided to go straight to Piet Hein Eek with one of the 35 Mini's that brings you from one part of town to the other.

Our visit to this former Philips factory where now Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek has created his own world took way longer then we expected. I loved the atmosphere and the fact that due all the glass and the amazing steel framed windows, you could look straight into the workplace.

Next to the work of Piet Hein Eek, several studio tenants showcase their work and numerous presentations by young designers, all of whom have worked or interned with PHE at some point can be found in the building.
